Solidarity Economy gives forms and substance to people's aspiration for new, alternative economic order that places more value on people, the community and the environment rather than on profit. The stakeholders organize and manage their system of production, exchange of goods and services, finance and consumption on the basis of a community of interest rather than on the vested interest of a few. Social Solidarity Economy Asia Forum was held in Manila on Oct. 17-20, 2007. Six member delegation from Nepal participated and shared their experiences in various sectors such as micro credit, fair trade, cooperative, community forestry, dairy cooperative and faminist movement. This blog is a forum where anyone can share their learning.
