Changing the Narrative (CTN) is an independent media platform that challenges prevailing narratives through podcasts, articles, photo stories, and documentary films. It exists for people who are curious about how our societies, cultures and systems work — and who suspect that much of what we're being told doesn't hold up to scrutiny.

Steve Dubb is strategic initiatives editor at Shelterforce. Prior to Shelterforce, Steve worked as senior editor of economic justice at Nonprofit Quarterly. Before that, he worked at The Democracy Collaborative—where he authored, co-authored, and edited numerous reports; participated in and facilitated learning cohorts; and helped build the field of community wealth building. He was also previously the executive director of NASCO (North American Students of Cooperation), a U.S. and Canadian association of housing cooperatives, focused on campus communities. Steve has authored and edited multiple books. Most recently, he co-edited (with Raymond Foxworth) Invisible No More: Voices from Native America (Island Press, 2023). Steve is based in Boston, Massachusetts, and actively volunteers in the area with multiple groups on economic justice work.

Patricia Serrano is a bilingual journalist based in Asheville and a member of Report for America. She covers immigration, political, and social issues in western North Carolina for Enlace Latino NC, with a focus on community journalism. She was born in Argentina and studied journalism at the National University of La Plata. She specializes in narrative journalism and audio production.

Samuel Comé is a freelance journalist based in Maputo, Mozambique. He reports for The Guardian/Observer, The Christian Science Monitor, and the Thomson Reuters Foundation, and has also worked with CNN in Mozambique.
