ILSR is Hiring Director of Development

Do you wake up questioning corporate monopolies and wonder how to support local community? Do you like working in a small office with passionate thinkers and doers?

The 40-year-old Institute for Local Self-Reliance seeks a Director of Development to super-charge our fight for community authority, rooftop solar, independent business, community composting, publicly owned internet “tubes,” and more. Along with the Institute’s co-directors and senior leadership team, the Development Director will create and execute a fundraising strategy to excite individuals and institutions about our work for local economies.

This position is based in any of our three offices: Minneapolis (MN), Portland (ME), or Washington DC.
